Enjoyed the author's perspective on the war, especially giving first person account of what's going on in Syria. Begs the question, "And why aren't we doing more?" If it's complex for the Syrians then it's doubly so for us. Still can't understand hi the Russians can get away with their involvement.
This is an eye opener. Read it soon. An immense human tragedy unfolds as nothing is done by the word.
Would have been great for you to write about the other side to see how they see the war and why.
Great insight into a seemingly intractable situation. I now study the news about Syria more closely.
Disappointing, I thought it would be as in a story, but it was a very short (30 minutes) newspaper report.
This guy was there in it. Unbelievable. How does this kind of things happen? All I can think about is how do I help.
Effective at showing the extreme tragedy in Syria. Not effective as discussing who is to blame and what to do about it. But that does not negate the empathy felt for the people living in inconstant fear.
This is an excellent insight into what is happening in Syria at present. A German journalists under the protection of Syrian rebels experiences the conflict and comes to know combatants personally.
